How to Select a Servo Voltage Stabilizer for Industrial Loads
A servo voltage stabilizer adjusts its transformer arrangement through a motor-driven regulator to maintain output voltage within its specified operating range.
Record the supply and loads
Measure minimum and maximum input voltage, phase imbalance, frequency and load current over representative shifts. List motors, heaters, drives and electronic equipment, including their voltage tolerance and starting behaviour.
Choose the operating range
Specify single-phase or three-phase supply, output voltage, regulation tolerance and response requirements. Check available output capacity at minimum input voltage: wide-range equipment may have different capacity or derating limits.
Confirm installation requirements
Consider cooling, ambient temperature, ventilation, duty cycle, bypass, overload protection and service access. For sensitive loads requiring uninterrupted power, evaluate a UPS separately; a stabilizer supplies no battery backup.
