Electrical Panels
How to Choose the Right LT Distribution Panel
A low-tension distribution panel receives low-voltage power and distributes it through protected outgoing feeders. Its specification must reflect both normal demand and fault conditions.
Define the electrical duty
Provide supply voltage, phases, frequency, maximum demand, diversity assumptions, feeder schedule and future capacity. Calculate the fault level at the panel and specify suitable breaking and assembly withstand ratings.
Coordinate protection
Choose incomer and outgoing protective devices from cable capacity, load behaviour and protection coordination. Check neutral sizing for unbalanced and harmonic loads, earthing arrangement and metering requirements.
Review the assembly
Agree enclosure protection, indoor or outdoor use, ventilation, cable entry, segregation and maintenance access. Request drawings, verification documentation, component schedules and commissioning checks for the applicable assembly standard.
